The wide range of elevation and precipitation makes the Columbia River Gorge an extremely diverse and dynamic place\, and therefore the photographic opportunities are endless. Explore the Gorge with Art and Gavriel as it transitions between temperate rain-forest to dry grasslands in only 80 miles\, hosting a dramatic change in scenery. \nThe field locations will not be limited to the scenic beauty of the Pacific Northwest\, Art will also take the group to some locations that will provide opportunities to photograph abstract images as well. He is very enthusiastic about expanding his “Abstract” photo locations and the Columbia Gorge delivers some wonderful subjects. \n  \n  \nReserve Your Spot Today \n \nLed by Art Wolfe and Gavriel Jecan \n Limited to 10 participants\n Minimal hiking involved\n  \n\nTransportation and Accommodation\n\nParticipants are responsible for their own transportation\, lodging and meals.\nWe have secured a block room reservation for our group at a local hotel. Upon registration you will download a PDF that includes the hotel information. Please call the hotel directly and reference the Art Wolfe workshop.\n\nItinerary\nShooting schedules have the ability to be altered to effectively cater to the photographic desires of the group\, as well as to adapt to changeable weather conditions. \nDay 1:\n\nMeet and greet at 8pm at hotel meeting room. Everyone can introduce themselves\, and Art will give a brief description of the proposed itinerary.\nGroup no host dinner\n\nDay 2:\n\nPhotography As Art Lecture\nField shoot\nDownload images from the day of shooting\nDine together with Art and Gavriel (no host dinner)\n\nDay 3:\n\nMorning critique. Each participant will provide three images from Day 2. This will give you the chance to build on successes and learn from mistakes of the previous day.\nField shoot\nDine together with Art and Gavriel (no host dinner)\n\nDay 4:\n\nLecture and critique. Learn from each others images while they are projected for the group. Art will adjust them in Adobe Lightroom and provide instruction.\nWorkshop will conclude by 12pm\n\n  \nWe request a 50% deposit to hold your space in this retreat.
