Art Wolfe Iceland Photo Tour Aug 21-29, 2021

August 21 - August 29

| $10,995

Event Navigation

It’s a wonderful time to travel to Iceland says my good friend and photographer Iurie Belegurschi, who will also be our excellent guide for this photo journey. Not only is the Fagradalsfjall eruption still going, but there are few travelers right now.

Iceland is a wonderland of volcanic landscapes, iceberg-filled glacial lagoons, and waterfalls, as well as herds of inquisitive Icelandic horses and colonies of gawky puffins. We hope to be experiencing all of this while traveling in style on Iurie’s custom luxury 4X4 bus that includes a kitchen, coffee machine, Wi-Fi, TV and water closet.

You will be traveling with two seasoned photographers who will ensure that we get the group to the best locations at the best time, to guarantee we have perfect light for our images. We know how to maximize our time in the field, but also make sure the group has time to enjoy a nice meal together to cap off a fulfilling day of photography.

Aug 22  Landmannalaugar

After an early morning breakfast on the second morning, we’ll hit the road towards the highlands where the group will overnight for two nights. This will provide us with ample time to explore this beautiful region.

Among sweeping bands of brightly colored minerals, thermal geyser basins dot the Landmannalaugar Mountains. Just before sunset, low-angle soft light enriches the beautiful bands of Iceland’s interior mountainscape. The exposed rock reveals layers of volcanic deposits and the deep furrows indicate how quickly the soft rock erodes.

Aug 23 Landmannalaugar

We will have another whole day to explore the beautiful region together in our luxury van. It is great that we can all travel together in this comfortable vehicle so we can discuss our photos and photo techniques as we drive to our next destination!
