With the lush beauty of the Bellevue Botanical Garden as our backdrop\, you’ll explore abstract photography in nature with Art as your guide. He will show you how to translate nature into art through the abstract lens. \nThis workshop is designed for photographers of all skill levels—from seasoned DSLR users to those shooting with an iPhone. Whether you’re refining your craft or just beginning your creative journey\, you’ll gain valuable insights and inspiration in every session. \nThe experience begins with a warm welcome at Art Wolfe’s private home with an evening of wine\, light bites\, and lively conversation. From there\, the days unfold with a captivating lecture from Art\, hands-on field sessions guided by Art and his team\, and a thoughtfully curated critique that will elevate your vision and technique. \nWhether you’re looking to strengthen your portfolio\, develop a personal style\, or simply see the world in a new way\, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from one of the world’s most celebrated photographers—all in a setting where creativity blooms. \nReserve Your Spot Today \n \nLed by Art Wolfe\nAssisted by Gavriel Jecan and Libby Pfeiffer\n Limited to 20 participants\n  \nWorkshop Schedule\nDay 1 Friday\, Aug 1\nMeet and greet at 6pm. Art Wolfe will host a special gathering at his home the evening before the seminar from 6-9pm. Hors d’oeuvres and  beverages will be provided. Art will also provide a very special private presentation to the group this evening! It will likely be a brand new presentation that is centered around his recent projects. \nDay 2 Saturday\, Aug 2\nWe will begin our day with a series of inspirational lectures that Art has put together specifically for this workshop and location. He will take breaks throughout the morning\, and we will have coffee and pastries available. \n\n9:00am-12:00pm Art Wolfe Inspirational Lectures\n\nFollowing that the group will break for lunch. There are a number of options right across the street from the hotel. \n\n1:00pm-5:00pm Afternoon Field Session Bellevue Botanical Gardens\n\nFollowing lunch the group will meet up for the afternoon field session at a designated located in the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. \nArt and his two guides will be providing instruction to the group while in the field at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens where you can photograph a variety of abstract images in a beautiful garden with a large variety of plant species. They have water features and a Japanese style garden with beautifully maintained gravel trails\, and no elevation gain. So no need to worry there will be no strenuous hiking. We will spend the afternoon photographing until the group confirms they have had their fill. \nYou will bring what you photograph to Sunday’s session for Art to critique. \nDay 3 Sunday\, Aug 3\nJust in case you didn’t have enough time in the field on the previous day\, Art has decided to start the critique a little later in the day so that you have more chances to photograph and/or to work on your photos for the critique session. \n\n9:00am – 11:00am Field Session Kelsey Creek Park or Alternate Location (TBD)\n\nThose who want to have another opportunity to photograph in the field can join Libby Pfeiffer at the Kelsey Creek Park this morning for another field session. Kelsey Creek Park is right next door to the Bellevue Botanical Garden\, so it is easily accessible from the hotel where our lectures will take place. \nArt will not be photographing with the group in the field at the Kelsey Creek Park\, but will arrive at the lecture room early to set up for the critique. So anyone that wants to go over there early can join him to finish selecting their images for the critique. \nParticipants may photograph with Art’s assistants or independently. \n\n12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Group Critique and Review\n\n\nDo not be intimidated by this four hour critique session! It is often the most constructive and informative segments of Art’s workshops. Art will upload each participants images onto his computer and will project the images as he uses lightroom  showing his artistic vision as he edits the photographs for the entire class to see. Participants are asked to bring two samples of their work to share. \nServices Included\n\nInformative classroom lecture\nIntensive field instruction\nImage review critique session\nInspirational presentation with Hors d’oeuvres and beverages hosted at Art Wolfe’s home\nThe use of the classroom with screen\nSnacks and coffee provided during classroom sessions\n\nServices Not Included\n\nHotel accommodations\nTransportation\nLunch\n\nShare:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n More\n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit\n \n Share on Pocket (Opens in new window)\n Pocket
