This photography retreat is designed with the photographer of any skill level in mind who is looking to further develop and explore their skills. With multiple critiques and personal one on one instruction in the field this intensive small group retreat will enrich your soul and your creative spirit! \nBe part of a small group of only two people riding together\, eating together\, and fully immersing yourselves into photography together in the cathedral-like Quinault Rainforest staying at the luxurious and historic Lake Quinault Lodge. \nThere are some places so blissfully disconnected from the modern world that they seem to stand suspended in time. Lake Quinault Lodge is one such place – a grand and rustic lodge built in 1926 that welcomes guests with warmth\, hospitality\, and a sincere feeling of home-away-from-home comfort. \nSituated on the Olympic Peninsula\, Olympic National Park offers tremendous diversity for photographers. With nearly one million acres\, Olympic National Park encompasses several distinctly different ecosystems and protects a rich mosaic of natural and cultural history. \nAt nearly one million acres\, the park encompasses three major ecosystems. Rugged coastal beaches\, temperate rainforest\, and beautiful glacier-capped peaks create breathtaking scenery and amazing photo opportunities. \nThis special retreat is perfect for the photographer/traveler that doesn’t want to think about anything. Transportation from Seattle and back is included in the tour fee\, as well as accommodations. All you have to do is get out your camera and get ready to be inspired. \nReserve Your Spot Today \n \nLed by Art Wolfe\nAssisted by Libby Pfeiffer\nLimited to 2 Participants\n Minimal hiking involved\n  \nTransportation and Accommodation\n\nParticipants are responsible for their own meals (lodging and transportation are included). \nWe will provide hotel information for where the group will be staying and will send confirmation of your room reservation upon registration.\n\nItinerary\nThe exact itinerary will be kept flexible to account for the weather and current conditions in the park. We will optimize our time for the best possible photography. The itinerary below is just an example of what you can expect. \nDay 1 July 6th:\n\n11:00 AM: Meet in Seattle airport or hotel nearby where you will be picked up and transported together to the Lake Quinault Lodge.\nEveryone can introduce themselves at the airport and while en-route to the lodge Art will give a brief description of the proposed itinerary.\nGroup no host dinner\n\nDay 2:\n\nMorning lecture\nField shoot\nGroup no host dinner\nDownload images from the day of shooting\n\nDay 3:\n\nMorning critique. Learn from each others images while they are projected for the group. Art will adjust them in Adobe Lightroom and provide instruction.\nPhotography on our way back to Seattle.\nWorkshop will conclude by 4pm in Seattle\n\n  \nOn this trip there will be both in the field instruction and classroom presentations. The workshop is kept small to allow one-on-one instruction with everyone\, allowing both beginning and seasoned photographers a place to develop new skill sets and inspire creativity. Here is just some of the instruction that will be offered: \nIn the field instruction \n\nImproving how we see\, instruction on composition\nLessons in light\, developing new awareness to outdoor lighting\nWorking with optimal focal lengths for wildlife and landscapes\nTechnical instruction on the camera\nLearning new professional techniques and tricks\n\nClassroom \n\nAdobe Lightroom\, learning workflow from capture to print\nAdvanced landscape techniques in Adobe Photoshop\nImproving color management for post processing and print\nComposition and lighting lessons\nDigital file management\n\n\n\nI love photographing in the Olympic Peninsula and it seems like every time I am leaving I am wishing for more time to photograph in this beautiful region.  So I have decided to provide an exclusive photography retreat which will not only grant me additional time in the field to teach\, but also a more extended period of time to get to know each of the participants.  I am really looking forward to the opportunity to photograph with a small group in one of my favorite places to visit. \n-Art Wolfe \nShare:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)\n Tumblr\n More\n Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)\n Pinterest\n \n Share on Reddit (Opens in new window)\n Reddit
