You will be responsible for your flight to and from Anchorage Alaska and for your hotel in Anchorage. You are requested to arrive by Aug 9th so that the entire group can convene on Aug 10th for departure.\nWe will provide hotel information for where the group will be staying. You will need to reach out to the hotel directly to secure your room reservation. You are not required to stay at the suggested lodge\, as there are other options nearby.\n\nActivity Level\nThe activity level for this workshop is moderate with proposed field outings that may involve up to 4 miles of hiking over uneven ground to the photographic location. However there are alternate options for those that may not want to hike as much. If there is any question regarding your ability to participate please call our office. \nItinerary\nShooting schedules have the ability to be altered to effectively cater to the photographic desires of the group\, as well as to adapt to changeable weather conditions. \nDay 1 Aug 9th\n\nMeet and greet with the rest of the participants 6pm no host dinner at restaurant in Anchorage. Everyone can introduce themselves\, and prepare for the departure the following day.\n\nDay 2 Aug 10th\n\nDepart Anchorage for Katmai lodge\nCabin assignments\, waders and boots provided to each participant for trip\, and settling in to lodge\nDiscussion of proper procedures around bears and the float plane\nPossible field outing depending on arrival time at the lodge.\n\nDay 3 Aug 11th\n\nBreakfast at lodge\, and lunches distributed for field\nFull day in the field with Art and Gavriel\nThis day there will be some short hikes\, getting the group into some wonderful viewing opportunities with bears\, but this will not be a long hiking day. This way the group can get used to the terrain and prepare for the following days.\nFlight back to lodge\nDownload images from the day. Dinner at lodge\n\nDay 4 Aug 12th\n\nBreakfast at lodge\, and lunches distributed for field\nFull day in the field with Art and Gavriel\nThis day there will be some slightly longer hikes as the group knows the terrain a bit better and Art has more opportunities to spot where the most activity is happening.\nFlight back to lodge\nDownload images from the day. Dinner at lodge\n\nDay 5 Aug 13th\n\nBreakfast at lodge\, and lunches distributed for field\nFull day in the field with Art and Gavriel\nThis day might involve the most amount of hiking as everyone is acclimated to the terrain and Art has a good idea where to find mothers and cubs and bears fishing. (Anyone that does not want to do a long hike can be assigned a guide from the lodge and can hike as little or as much as they like.)\nFlight back to lodge\nDownload images from the day.
