Upon arrival you will be collected from the airport and transferred to The Weinberg. \nOnce the whole group has checked in\, we’ll have a welcome dinner together at the iconic Butcher’s Block. \nAccommodations: The Weinberg \nDays 2-3: Aug 28-29 Sossusvlei & Namib Desert (B\, L\, D)\n-Explore the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei\n-Scenic park drives with stops at iconic viewpoints and viewing Desert Wildlife.\n-1-hour helicopter flight over the dunes (doors-off option for aerial photography). \n  \nAccommodations: Sossus Dune Lodge \nDays 4-5: Aug 30-31 Swakopmund (B\, L\, D)\n• Coastal town known for its German colonial architecture\, vibrant culture\, and Atlantic Ocean views.\n• 31 August: Private “Living Desert” excursion in the morning to photograph Namibia’s elusive Little Desert creatures (geckos\, scorpions\, insects\, and other microfauna) – timing will depend on coastal weather.\n• Opportunities to capture dynamic coastal landscapes\, wildlife along the shoreline\, and the charming town streets.\n• Evening free to enjoy Swakopmund’s culinary delights and seaside ambiance. \nAccommodations: Fritz Manor\, Swakopmund \nDays 6-7: Sept 1-2 Dramaraland &Twyfelfontein (B\, L\, D)\n• Explore the dramatic landscapes of Damaraland with its rugged mountains and Desert-adapted wildlife with the main focus on the Elephants of the Huab Valley.\n• Faster pace\, allowing for sunrise and sunset photography sessions in the heart of the Huab. Expect long hours\, long game drives and extensive time in sightings. \nAccommodations: Doro Nawas \nDays 8-12: Sept 3-7 Etosha National Park (B\, L\, D)\nThis morning we will transfer due North – east to an area named “The great white place” but more commonly known as Etosha National Park for 4 nights stay. This transfer will be provided by plane to cut down on the amount of driving. Morning flight transfer from Ondili-Onguma. \nFrom its beautiful vantage point overlooking a well-frequented watering hole and the plains beyond\, the Onguma Bush Camp is situated along the eastern boundary of Etosha National Park in the privately owned Onguma Natural Reserve. Situated around a popular waterhole\, Onguma Bush Camp offers its guests an enticing mixture of sophistication and relaxation. Superbly furnished tents boast comfortable beds and each have en-suite bathroom facilities. In the local Herero language\, Onguma means\, “the place you don’t want to leave.” With a stunning main building and seven tents providing private\, exclusive accommodation\, Onguma Bush Camp\, certainly lives up to its name. An atmosphere of elegant dining prevails\, complimented by the daily activities taking place around the watering hole\, approximately 60 meters away. \nActivities include game drives in open 4×4 vehicles into Etosha where animals such as lion\, elephant\, cheetah\, gemsbok\, springbok\, and hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. In addition\, hides and walks with guides are enjoyed on the private reserve. \nFrom mid morning onwards\, there is a procession of animals at the waterholes. The high numbers of animals cause tension and fights often break out due to skittishness or dominance behavior. This offers the photographer excellent opportunities of getting images of Zebra\, wildebeest\, Oryx and spring-buck fighting.
