Itinerary
Shooting schedules have the ability to be altered to effectively cater to the photographic desires of the group, as well as to adapt to changeable weather conditions.
Day 1: March 5 ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA, TANZANIA
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Air travel delays are possible, so please consider arriving early, possibly the day prior. We don’t want you to miss out on trip activities. Airport transfer is included on arrival.
Transfer via a private vehicle to a small and exclusive inn. The inn is a charming country estate that was once an old coffee farm and still retains the nostalgic air of a well-loved homestead. With ten acres of fertile greenery, the grounds are a natural extension of Mt. Meru’s sloping foothills and offer a sanctuary for the birds and wildlife indigenous to the area. (D)
Days 2-3: March 6-7 NGORONGORO CRATER
Early in the morning, we will head to the Ngorongoro Crater which is the world’s largest inactive, unbroken, and unfilled volcanic caldera. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to some of the richest wildlife viewing on the continent. The mineral-rich floor of the spectacular bowl is covered with nutritious grass, creating a paradise for both herbivores and carnivores.
The conservation area is home to almost 30,000 animals ranging from leopard, cheetah, elephant, and hyena to warthog, buffalo, and impala. It’s also one of the best places to see the endangered black rhino. (B,L,D)
Days 4-6: March 8-10 KICHAKANI SERENGETI
Early in the morning after breakfast the group will depart for the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which will allow for excellent sightings of wildlife.
Our camp is located in the south-west of the Serengeti ecosystem and during the Wildebeest birthing season, it’s hard to imagine a more stunning backdrop to our adventure. Dramatic storms sweep in new life and there are young Wildebeest babies all over along with the attendant predators. (B,L,D)
Days 7-10: March 11-14 NAMIRI PLAINS CAMP SERENGETI
Set within Tanzania’s eastern Serengeti is the magnificent Namiri Plains Lodge, an area home of a large portion of Serengeti’s cheetah population. You will explore this section of the plains in privacy because of the nearest camp being over an hour away. You will have the chance to catch sight of lions, wildebeest herds and much other wildlife out on the game drives, or even from the comfort of your own luxury room. (B,L,D)
Day 11: March 15 DEPARTURE DAY
After breakfast the group will catch a charter flight back to Arusha for continuing travel home. (Internal flight included in tour cost) (B)
