Capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest this summer with an exclusive photography workshop in Portland, Oregon, and the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge combined in one workshop!
This workshop will focus on capturing abstracts in nature and the urban landscape. Starting off with a day photographing in downtown Portland the group can capture the beauty this wonderful and unique city has to offer.
Following that there will be a day trip up the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge, where we will showcase some of the lesser known waterfalls and a wonderful location for some gritty abstract photography.
Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned photographer, you’ll gain valuable insights into composition, lighting, and storytelling as you capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest in this unique workshop that will encompass both landscape and urban photography.

Itinerary
Shooting schedules have the ability to be altered to effectively cater to the photographic desires of the group, as well as to adapt to changeable weather conditions.
Day 1:
- 6:00PM Meet and greet so everyone can introduce themselves, and Art will give a brief description of the proposed itinerary.
- Evening Wild Lives Presentation 7:00-8:30pm at hotel meeting room.
Day 2:
- Inspirational Lecture
- Field shoot: Abstracts in the urban landscape
- Download images from the day of shooting
- Dine together with Art and Gavriel (no host dinner)
Day 3:
- Field shoot: Abstracts in nature and landscapes of the Columbia River Gorge (Washington Side)
- Dine together with Art and Gavriel (no host dinner)
Day 4:
- Lecture and critique. Learn from each others images while they are projected for the group. Art will adjust them in Adobe Lightroom and provide instruction.
- Workshop will conclude by 12pm
