Turkey is a feast for the senses and a paradise for photographers, a place where ancient civilizations, dramatic landscapes, vibrant markets, and deeply rooted traditions converge between Europe and Asia. On this immersive photographic journey with Art Wolfe, we will explore the visual richness of Turkey from the bustling streets and iconic mosques of Istanbul to the surreal volcanic landscapes of Cappadocia and the sparkling turquoise waters of the Mediterranean coast.
Our adventure begins in Istanbul, one of the world’s great cultural crossroads, where domes and minarets rise above winding streets filled with spice markets, ferries, fishermen, and lively bazaars. We’ll photograph the city at sunrise and sunset from some of its most iconic vantage points while also venturing into neighborhoods and markets where everyday Turkish life unfolds in vivid color and texture.
From there we journey into the otherworldly beauty of Cappadocia, where hundreds of hot air balloons drift above sculpted valleys and ancient cave dwellings at dawn. We’ll photograph hidden villages, underground cities, rock-cut churches, wild horses, and local families while experiencing authentic Turkish hospitality and cuisine. Continuing south, the tour follows the Mediterranean coastline through ancient Lycian sites, charming harbors, dramatic beaches, and rural fishing villages before concluding with the luminous white terraces of Pamukkale and a final private cruise along the Bosphorus back in Istanbul.
Designed specifically for photographers, this journey offers extraordinary opportunities for storytelling, street photography, landscapes, architecture, culture, and intimate human moments, all while traveling alongside one of the world’s most celebrated photographic artists.
