Wild Lives Presentation: Fort Lauderdale, FL

November 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Event Navigation

Wild Lives is a celebration of the extraordinary diversity of species that inhabit the planet. Some are common, some rare, and many are conservation success stories, species that have been brought back from the edge of extinction.

Over his forty-year career, Art Wolfe has photographed many species that were once on endangered species lists, but are now flourishing (such as the bald eagle and humpback whale). These recoveries are an uplifting testament to the resilience of life when it is given a chance.

Throughout this presentation Art Wolfe recounts his recent works and inspiring discoveries in the process of routinely pushing his craft. Through his beautiful photographs we get to follow Art as he shoots for projects in photographically-rich locations.

This lavishly produced work spans the globe, bringing the beauty of the planet’s fast-disappearing landscapes, wildlife, and cultures into stunning focus. Uniquely conceived and undeniably breathtaking, this elegantly crafted production will take you on an adventure around the world.

Wild Lives books will be available for purchase at the event, and Art will be happy to personalize your copy.

This event will take place at the NSU Museum of Art. Please fill out the pre-registration form and we will notify you when ticket sales have been set up on their website.

Book Description: From amphibians and reptiles to mammals and birds, Wild Lives portrays an earthly aesthetic millions of years in the making. Wolfe has photographed more than 500 species in 60 countries, and the never-before-seen work in Wild Lives forms his most comprehensive, globe-spanning book of photography he has ever published.
